How we build your agent

Four steps, the same ones our own products go through.

  1. Goal and agreements first

    Before anything is built, we write down what the agent has to achieve, which systems it works with and when its work counts as done.

  2. Tasks per specialism

    We split the work into bounded tasks. Each one goes to the council in ARCS with the right specialism.

  3. Another model checks the result

    One model does the task, a second reviews the result and a third checks the correction. No model marks its own work.

  4. You decide at the gates

    At agreed moments we put the work in front of you. You approve it, reject it or ask for a change.

Where your data stays

We choose per task where the work runs and record that choice: on our own machines, or with a model from an outside AI provider. When material may not leave the building, the work runs on Northstar One, our own machines and models on a private network.

What is the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?

A chatbot answers questions in a conversation. An AI agent carries out a task: it uses data and tools, takes the steps the task needs and hands back a result. With us, a different model checks that result before the work moves on.

How long does it take to build an AI agent?

That depends on what the agent has to do and which systems it works with, so we name no fixed term here. After the first conversation we write down your goal and what counts as done in a brief. The planning follows from that, with gates where you decide whether we carry on.

What does it cost to have an AI agent built?

Does the agent work with our existing systems?

That is the starting point: an agent only helps when it works with what you already use. Which systems it works with, and what it may and may not do there, is written down in the brief.

Who owns the code and the data?

We agree on ownership of the code and the data before the work starts. Where your data is processed is chosen per task and recorded too. Confidential material can stay on Northstar One, our own machines on a private network.
